Rachael – otherwise known as the Smarter Mortgage Lady, has worked in the NZ Financial Service industry for over 10 years and she loves getting people into their own place to call home.

She brought her first home when she was a single parent, self-employed, there was no such thing as Kiwisaver and she teamed up with one of her sisters to make it happen, utilising some help from the bank of mum and dad.

She loved the experience of working with a Financial Adviser specialising in Mortgages so much, that she went to work with her Mortgage Adviser. After 5 years, she made a change to head up the Mortgage Department at Insurance and Lending Group, now Rothbury ILG. After 5 years there, she decided it was necessary to take her business to the next level, whilst still helping clients buy their own place to call home, buy that next home or an investment property, so she is thrilled to join Wealthpoint powered by Genesis Advice doing what she loves.

Rachael adds value to her clients’ mortgage journey, by drawing on her own property investment experience around Auckland and in the regions, and from her time as a real estate salesperson. Her client base extends the length and breadth of NZ although she’s based in Auckland.

Rachael has helped a large number of people all over NZ create financial certainty through property ownership and she thrives on keeping it as simple as possible, when the whole experience can seem daunting and overwhelming for the client.

Rachael has an adult daughter and is also a proud grandmother of two. When she is not helping clients, she loves spending time with family and friends, participating in waka ama outrigger canoe events or travelling.
