Simon is the owner of Axico a family business which has its origins from his father, Peter Yarrell and the recent arrival of Simon’s daughter Pieta into the business.  Over the years Axico has evolved into an insurance business covering domestic and small business insurance along with the associated insurance needs of his clients for life, disability and health products.

Simon has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years working for not only AMP but ASB Bank and other insurance brokerages both here and in the UK.

Simon has a diploma in insurance and maintains current practicing certificates through regular training and business development days.  This is important in keeping up to date with the industry policy wordings and legislative changes.  This gives Simon not only the experience and broad knowledge but the ability to tailor make the best insurances to meet the needs of his clients with regular contact and reviews so that his client’s ever changing needs are met.

Simon is a family man and spends his precious spare time and energy cycling to keep fit and entering various races during the course of the year.  Simon won the two day coast to coast in 1999.
